LONG CRICHEL WALLED GARDENS

The Long Crichel Walled Garden is a non-profit enterprise aiming to promote sustainable ways of working organic horticulture, permaculture methods and forest gardening .

We grow Organic Vegetables to U.K. Soil Association standards in order to provide seasonal vegetables and fruit to the local community via our "Veggie Box" scheme, farmers markets, garden gate sales and other local retail outlets which includes Long Crichel Bakery.

The garden comprises just over 1 hectare (2.5 acres) with a traditional English working walled garden, forest garden, orchard, herb garden and three poly-tunnels. We plan to have a small resource centre / workshop in order to enable us to run courses in 'Herbs for Health', 'Mosaic', 'Stone Carving' and 'Green Woodworking'.

We currently offer people the opportunity to work in all of these area's alongside experienced gardeners, volunteers as well as adults & children with learning disability. We also offer local school children these opportunities.
