Fine bread at Long Crichel

The bakery was set up and finalised in 2000. Early September 2000 we opened our doors and began selling fine organic bread's within Dorset and neighbouring counties.

Fuel for the fuel of life

Working out of a converted 18th Century coach house and stable with our purpose build wood fired brick oven; custom built to a traditional design.

All our products are traditionally hand made and organic (certified organic - without improvers, chemical additives or GM products) fully approved by the Soil Association

Tom Hitchmough is the Master 'artisan' baker, creating various local, regional and European favourite's. He is supported by a team who are both professional and enthusiastic in what we make.

The bakery shop

Our bakery shop is open from 12.00 mid day until 6.00 pm Thursday & Friday and from 9:00am until 6:00pm on Saturday. If you are travelling far it's always good to telephone first. ( Telephone: 01258 830 852 - Sales and wholesale enquiries are welcome ).

Our location

You will find the sleepy little village of Long Crichel nestled in a shallow valley within the chalk downs of East Dorset - one mile off the main A354 between Blandford forum and Salisbury.
